Randee Daddona
photographer
I fell in love with photography at the age of fourteen. On a class field trip
for a photography class, our assignment was to photograph the streets of
Manhattan. A news story flashed in front of us. All press showed up includ-
ing The New York Daily News . It turned out that The Daily News found that
students covering a news story were more interesting then the story itself.
We were featured on the front page. From that point, I knew photography is
what I wanted to do.
Pursuing a determined attitude, I worked my way into the world of fea-
ture film and television beginning at the age of fifteen. After earning a B.F.A
from The School of Visual Arts, my passion for photography expanded. I be-
gan my own photo business “Once Upon a Picture”, specializing in portraiture.
I also taught myself the art of hand coloring photographs using oils. My
work became award winning, challenging me more.
In 2005, my husband and our five children relocated to the beautiful North
Fork of Long Island, NY. Surrounded by such a unique place, every picture I
take reflects the beauty and purity of the island and inspires me to photo-
graph with honesty.
My freelance work now involves commercial, gallery, photojournalism and
portraiture.
